Rock Mill is an absolutely spectacular new development, nestled just outside of Stoney Middleton – a characterful historic village in the centre of the Peak District National Park, surrounded by lush forests, gorgeous rivers, dramatic limestone gritsone edges, expansive moorlands, and the most breathtaking rolling green hills that you will ever set your eyes on.

World-famous climbing walls (including Britain's hardest crag) and caves are – literally – at our doorstep, and walking and hiking paths can be found all around. (The site where Tom Cruise crashed a train is also just around the corner.)

Adjacent to Rock Mill is the Cupola café, restaurant and visitors' centre, where you will be able to refeed, recharge and learn more about the history of Stoney Middleton and the surrounding areas. Further down the road (or the hiking path) you will find another restaurant, a fish-and-chips bar, and a local pub.

Stoney Middleton dates back to Roman times (the Romans established a settlement here after natural thermal springs had emerged from the 350-million-years-old limestone), and it boasts a number of listed buildings and historical sites.

The picturesque Calver village, with its pubs, cafés and shops, is just a few-minutes' walk away, and so is Eyam (though it's up a pretty steep hill). After Calver sits Baslow, with even more pubs, restaurants and shops.

A bit further afield you will find the famous Chatsworth House, with its grounds and wonderful farm shop, Haddon Hall, worldwide-known towns of Bakewell and Buxton, outdoor swimming pools in Hathersage and Matlock Bath, many canoeing and wild swimming spots, adventure playgrounds at the Heights of Abraham, abundant wildlife, and the most scenic fells to go for a hike, run or a cycling trip.

Castleton is a 25-min drive away, Edale (yes, that's where the famous Pennine Way begins!) is 30-min away, and so is Sheffield. Nottingham and Derby are a 45-min drive away, Manchester airport is approximately an hour's drive, and it'll take you around 100 min to get to Birmingham airport.
